With the aid of our neurophysiotherapy treatments, we help individuals living with conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury to improve their mobility, hand functions and quality of life. We also employ evidence-based physiotherapy treatments and sports massage techniques to assist people living with chronic conditions such as back pain, neck pain, sports injury, among others, to enable them to live without pain and fulfilling their potentials.
What do we do?
At Probotics Rehab, we provide specialist neurological physiotherapy with the aid of latest technology, such as Functional electrical stimulation bicycle (FES bike) and Tailwind bilateral arm training with rhythmic auditory cueing (BATRAC) across Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.
From our location in Rugby, we use neurophysiotherapy techniques and the latest technologies to assist individuals living with life changing conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury, acquired brain injury and other neurological conditions to maximise their independence, overcome their disabilities and enhance their potentials beyond expectations. Our services are available for clients whose disabilities persist after exhausting the resources provided by other healthcare neurophysiotherapy service providers.
Our expertise also includes musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, and sports injury treatment and rehabilitation. We are proud to offer bespoke manual therapy, sports massage, manipulation, exercise therapy and electrotherapy for treatment of conditions such as sciatica, back pain, whiplash injury and post-surgical physiotherapy / rehabilitation for individuals living in Rugby, Warwickshire and its environs.
Why are we different?
Despite the resources and time invested by many patients in neurophysiotherapy treatments, there is a rise in disability particularly in the poor arm and hand recovery. However, recent and ongoing discoveries about the dynamic and plastic nature of the human brain (known as neuroplasticity), together with the use of neurological technologies such as FES bicycle have significantly improved rehabilitation outcomes. Increased repetitions generated in this way promote and provoke activities in the brain, thus, individuals can regain more functions even months after the initial injury. Thus, impairments and disability would be minimised if technologies, as shown by research and advised by guidelines, are incorporated into the neurophysiotherapy regime. Therefore, we are proud to offer ‘hands on’ physiotherapy using Bobath and movement based approaches in conjunction with the latest technologies.
We are aware of the cost implications of neurophysiotherapy treatments to individuals and their families, but we have resolved to help individuals access our services without putting them under any financial constraints. Therefore, we offer a free 30 minutes taster service to individuals with neurological injuries. For individuals that are happy to go ahead with the treatments, we offer bulk bookings for 5 and 10 sessions at discounts of 2.5% and 5% respectively.
We utilise a biopsychosocial model that focuses on our clients’ physiotherapy treatment, psychological and social wellbeing during their rehabilitation. Our evidence-based physiotherapy treatments for musculoskeletal, orthopaedics and sports injury rehab, enables you to resume your daily activities with optimal functioning. Pain management is, often, a major component of our treatments; we treat this with physiotherapy techniques such as soft tissue and sport massage, joints mobilisation and manipulation and electrotherapy. We have had successes with many individuals presenting with debilitating, chronic back and neck conditions, and returned them to their baseline living. A vital part of our physiotherapy treatment programmes is providing you with a set of exercises suited to your needs and conditions, as well as advice on lifestyle programmes and positioning that are good for your health.
If you have partial or complete loss of movement, then the answer may lie in Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) Cycling. Getting a beneficial workout improves the health of your heart and lungs, rebuilds your muscles, helps with weight management and even reduces spasticity.
Rehabilitation Technologies are devices used by a qualified physiotherapist to improve your recovery following neurological injuries such as stroke and spinal cord injuries. As technical devices are employed in everyday life to assist humans and improve efficiency, the same principle applies to rehabilitation technologies in physiotherapy.
Our unit of highly trained physiotherapists ensures that your improvement follows the best plan possible and can provide a wide range of musculoskeletal services for the therapy of muscle, bones and joint problems.
Probotic Rehabs gives bespoke rehabilitation for individuals following complicated injuries and polytrauma. We have exceptional success in treating post-operative patients that present with worsening movement due to failed or complex surgical procedures or those individuals that have not have sufficient or appropriate post operative rehabilitation.
